Drug Policy Alliance Job Openings

dpa-jobs-350The Drug Policy Alliance National office has two immediate openings:

1. Youth Policy Manager (based in New York City):

The Youth Policy Manager is a new full-time position supported by a multi-year grant. The Manager is responsible for coordinating DPA’s advocacy in the area of young people and drugs, which ranges from drug education and prevention to drug effects, juvenile justice, school discipline and child welfare. The Manager will deepen our policy positions, advance key relationships, create and disseminate materials, help foster model drug education and prevention programs (particularly in New York) and further integrate a youth policy perspective into the organization’s overall goals and direction.

2. Deputy Director of Development for Major Gifts (based in Los Angeles):

lynne-lyman-13Reporting to the Managing Director of Development, the Deputy Director of Development for Major Gifts is responsible for the development of strategies for engaging donors with the mission and work of the Drug Policy Alliance and for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of $5,000+ gifts from a portfolio of high net worth donors and prospects. The Drug Policy Alliance’s development department is based in New York and has a team of eight, including this position.

About Lynne Lyman

Lynne Lyman is the California state director for the Drug Policy Alliance. Based in Los Angeles, Lyman leads DPA’s criminal justice reform work in California and oversees all other aspects of the organization’s policy and advocacy work in the state. A native of Los Angeles, Lyman joined the Drug Policy Alliance in 2012 after working with the civil rights organization, Advancement Project, on violence reduction, community policing and criminal justice reform.
